I heard those words the other day in response to the question, “How’s it going this morning?” It was Monday AM

I immediately thought of how easy it is to wait for circumstances to determine our outlook (Attitude may work well here). You know how it works…………….get out of bed + stub toe + step in mysterious liquid on carpet = potentially dreadful start to the day

“Absolutely!” you might say!

I prefer saying, “No way, Jose!” You have an absolute choice of determining your reaction or preferrably response to any set of circumstance(s).

Now it may be a little more involved than the Seinfeld episode where Mr. Costanza yells, “SERENITY NOW!” everytime Mrs. Castanza speaks (that is soooo funny I laugh thinking about it). But, in theory it really isn’t, because Mr. Costanza is moving into a positive direction/vibration when he thinks to yell, “SERENITY NOWWWWW!”

I hope everyone person on the planet understands we have a choice: :+) or

Let’s choose to set our sails in the direction we WANT to go, not the in the direction the world takes us.

Be strong. Be conscious. Be Positive. Be well, friends.

If all else fails, simply remember Mr. Costanza, Jerry and Kramer……………”SERENITY NOW!”

One of my favorite ideas Mr. Rohn shares is that of Study-Practice -Teach. Whatever it is that drives you, inspires you, makes you smile, etc……..are you studying it? Are you diving into learning as much as you can about what you love? It’s tough for me to say, but as of right now, I am not completely in the water (so-to-speak). Although I have a passion for sharing positive ideas with others with a goal of helping them improve their lives and the lives of those they care about, I find myself off track sometimes………….spending time elsewhere. Sure, we all have professional and personal obligations that need our attention, but when do we decide to place our passions and dreams and loves higher on our ginormous “to do” lists?

From this day forward my 6 Daily Action steps (always complete prior to leaving “the office” in the afternoon/evening for the next day) will include an action item for me to stay plugged into the parts of my life I sometimes put on pause.

I hope you’ll do the same. Whether it’s 30 minutes a day or less at first, let’s put priority on doing what we love part of our days. Perhaps one day we’ll INVEST more time each day in Studying what we love, Practicing what makes us feel funny inside and Teaching others that they too, can do the same.

Walk up to the playground

Take off Bean’s shoes (no socks b/c you can straight up grip a lot better with bare feet:)

Bean runs around for about 10 seconds and takes notice of the only other little girl (also 2) in the place and instantly connects with her. They start running around, following one another, going up and down the slides, laughing and having a blast. They are having the time of their lives right then and right there.

What is the difference between the connection children have for one another and the many times disconnection adults have? I agree that like attracts like, but it’s much more than that. I’m not quite sure aside from all our formalities (How are you? I’m Craig Timmons. Nice to meet you. How about this weather)

I propose each of us make a special effort to meet more people, whether it be in person or online via twitter or facebook or my new favorite Dailybooth. Let’s put aside the nonsense and start making friends again

For me, the positivity and facial expressions both Eve and Augustine gave me were priceless. Perhaps there are no profound discoveries above, but I believe there’s a whole lot to work with and the foundation is positive, which is awesome. Here’s to engaging our children and the children in our lives each and every day.

I’ve never actually blogged about or written a book review. To be honest, I haven’t even read very many book reviews. That being said, I believe everyone, and I mean EVERYONE should read this book. I say that, but I believe STUDY is a better choice of words. You see, I read this book in two days, which is an all out record for me. I basically read it last night (stayed up til 0300). From start to finish I was ENGAGED like a new Divorcee at happy hour. I was all over the place, which is why I suggest studying this book. Gary Vee gives us so many true GEms to work with, it’s easy to take more than a dozen mind trips while reading the first, second or hundreth time. I hope you take mind trips because that tells me you get it.

It’s been said repitition is the first law of learning and I believe it.

The GOODS: If you have a passion for anything (i.e. if you woke up this morning), you can cash in on that passion via the tools that are waiting for you on the……………INTERNET. Now Gary Vee will straight up tell you that HUSTLE is 1000% necessary to carry out any successful venture. You have to hustle, hustle, hustle. CRUSHIT! GIVES you the answers you’ve been looking for and it’s time to listen, take notes & get to work. As I apply what I’ve learned, I’ll drop an update, and I have a hunch what we have in CRUSHIT! is super applicable!
